I was born in Fort Worth, Texas and grew up in Fort Worth and the surrounding suburbs. I graduated from W.E. Boswell High School in 1975. In December, 1978 I graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with a B. S. in Education. I taught First grade for the 1979-1980 school year in the Eagle Mtn.-Saginaw ISD before coming to Grand Prairie ISD. I have previously taught a variety of grades and subjects in Grand Prairie, including, First, Second, Third, Fifth, Title I Math/Reading and Reading Recovery. I received my Librarian Certification from Texas Woman's University in Denton and am currently serving as Librarian here at Austin. I love my job as well as the students and teachers I have the privilege of working with daily. My husband and I have two children who went to Austin Elementary from Kindergarten through 5th grade. I think this is a wonderful school with SUPER Teachers and Staff. |
